Here are som slides from yesterdays presentation that I held at Berghs School of Communication. The task was to pick a place with a random generator software. And wherever one ended up, that would inspire the work in any way. A very openly defined task. I landed in the little city Nunavut in northern Canada, and I wanted to make something beautiful, to present all their local art but within simple and stilistic frames. So I made a magazine and fitting packaging, all inspired by the surroundings of Nunavut. The mountains and the colors were interpreted in watercolor illustrations to be used in the layout, as stickers and on the packaging to give it a recognizable and complete look. Something that would be fun both for the local citizens but also to give a more modern and cultural exciting impression on tourists as well. I also made a poster as some kind of add-on product to be sold with the magazine. My source of inspiration was mainly these pictures: 1 and 2.
