The earthy land turned into slippery slides of clay and regardless of the many layers of clothing, rain coats etc. the rain managed to drown us and got every bit of us (including our underwear) totally soaked! However, we laughed, sang and had a great time, it was so ironic, we had really dreamt about this trip and it was nothing like we’d ever imagined. We thanked our new subscription to an audio-book app and let one of Mr. Nick Hornby’s books guide us through the country. The book was maybe even more uneventful than the landscape itself but hey, we actually appreciated it. Just as we appreciated this disastrous journey...Read More
Yesterday was a calm day. I woke up early and ate all the leftovers from the party the day before. Luxurious leftovers I must add, a danish treat called Æbleskiver. My absolute favorite christmas dish. It's like a combination of waffles, donuts and pancakes... it can't really get any better then that, can it? One word. Yum.
The rest of the day was very creative and productive. I put together our holiday greeting cards that are now ready to be sent out and then I spent a couple of hours staring at the beautiful wrapping of the italian torte my mum brought us for the weekend. Can't bring myself to open it up. Looks so dreamy in that packaging.
Then we kissed underneath the mistletoe and had a lovely three course dinner at a restaurant that our friends treated us with as a wedding gift.
That's exactly how I like to spend my Sundays.Read More
Yesterday we had a lovely gathering at our small place. There were candy, icing and laughter everywhere. Can't help to think about how lucky I am to be surrounded with these wonderful people all the time. This december have been the best pre-christmas celebration ever. We have done so many great things together with family and friends and unforseen combinations and unexpected bonds have been connected in the greatest of ways. My heart is overflowing with happiness and gratitude for the life that've been given. Today's the third advent to be celebrated and I'm excited as always. Happy sunday to y'all!

This year we're starting a new tradition at our place (I'm certain it will be my new favorite). We're inviting our closest family to decorate gingerbread houses with us. We're going to create masterpieces with icing, candy and magic, in true holiday-spirit. The invitations have been sent out and the only thing left for me is to bake a dozen gingerbread houses for them to decorate ... ouuh... guess I sort of ignored that fact when planning this. MERRY CHRISTMAS PREP-TIME TO U ALL!Read More
